Warren library closed after threats

WARREN — The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library closed early Tuesday afternoon after receiving a shooting threat.

In a statement posted to its social media, the library said, “In the interests of the safety of all library patrons and staff, all W-TCPL libraries and services will be closed, including the libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, Lordstown and Warren as well as Bookmobile service.”

A dispatching call log states that a message was left by a woman on the library’s Google reviews threatening to shoot up the building.

A two-star review left by the person reads, “I intend on shooting this place up.”

The threat is being investigated by police.

The library branches will reopen at noon today, according to library officials.

Starting at $3.23/week.
