Ex-defense attorney faces new charges
WARREN — A former Warren defense attorney was arrested and booked into Trumbull County jail after police found her trespassing at her former home.
On Sunday afternoon a police report states that Maridee Costanzo, 64, of Warren was arrested for criminal trespassing. Costanzo was found staying in her old home in the 100 block Genesse Avenue NE that in previous reports was the source of multiple overdose calls with police stating that call logs showed that police calls had been made four times in a three-month time span.
A July 19 overdose victim was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The report states that Costanzo broke a window to gain entry into the home, which was condemned last year by the Warren Health Department.
At the time of her arrest, Costanzo was still on probation stemming from a previous conviction.
Costanzo lost her law license after she was convicted in a plot to kill her husband and served eight years in federal prison. In 2017, Costanzo was sent to state prison for her role in a theft ring in Geauga County.
An arraignment will be held this morning for Costanzo at 9:45 a.m.
