WARREN — A 29-year-old Warren man who is already facing kidnapping, aggravated burglary and domestic violence charges for a fall 2019 incident in Howland, has been charged with additional felonies connected to a July 2020 domestic incident investigated by Warren police.

Juchard Duncan, 2263 Brier St., Warren, has been named by the Trumbull County grand jury in a superseding indictment charging him with two counts domestic violence, two counts violating a protection order, two counts having weapons as a convicted felon, and single counts each of defacing identification marks of a firearm, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl related compound.

Duncan is expected to be arraigned on the new charges Monday before Common Pleas Judge Peter J. Kontos.

Howland police said during the arrest of Duncan in early December 2019, the suspected drugs found in his pocket were believed to have sickened a Howland police officer during a traffic stop. Howland officer Adam Rios reported feeling weak, cold, light-headed, as well as having a tingling sensation after he pulled the plastic bag with the white powder out of Duncan’s right pocket.

The charges against Duncan from that Howland case is scheduled for a hearing Feb. 12, 2021, before Judge W. Wyatt McKay, court records state.

In all, the grand jury returned 64 indictments, including three that were sealed. Arraignments of the following felony cases will be scheduled within the next two weeks:
