Man gets prison term for escape
WARREN — A Mercer, Pa., man was given a seven-month prison term Wednesday after he pleaded guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to a charge of escape.
James R. Shaver III, 37, had failed to report to his parole officer after he was released from prison in January and subsequently charged with a felony, prosecutors said.
Shaver, who was originally sent to prison on a manufacturing marijuana charge, was arrested on July 17, jail records show.
