NILES — After issues filling orders on Christmas Eve, the Italian Marketplace announced Friday the store will close and later reopen under new ownership.

The four-year family-run business had difficulty finding “enough reliable employees” to fill overwhelming Christmas orders, according to a Christmas Facebook post by the business.

“As some of you may know, a tragic event occurred earlier this year to our family. After many months of exhausting all efforts, it has been concluded that we can no longer provide the same service and quality that you have come to know over the last four-plus years,” reads another recent post.
