Commissioners demand St. Joseph halt plans

The voices of discontent are growing with the news that St. Joseph Warren Hospital is closing its maternity ward in December with Mercy Health centralizing operations at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Warren City Council renews consulting contract

WARREN — City Council approved a resolution at Wednesday night’s regular council meeting renewing its agreement with McCaulley & Co. of Rocky River to help the city with grant writing and government relations services. The contract pays McCaulley & Co. $11,000 per month plus expenses, such as postage, express mail service, copying, printing or other duplication, production or submission forms and documents, plus travel expenses outside of Cuyahoga County, where the company’s offices are located. Hubbard Township rejects data center zoning language

HUBBARD TOWNSHIP -- The township's zoning commission will rewrite its zoning language pertaining to data centers, with officials noting the desire to get things right in one go. Township trustees at Wednesday evening's zoning hearing unanimously voted to reject zoning language proposed by the township’s zoning commission, which was unsealed at a regular meeting earlier this month.
