Judge denies defense motions in postal worker killing

With the federal murder trial of Kaprise and Thomas Sledge now 10 days away in the March 2, 2024, shooting death of U.S. Postal Service carrier Jonte Davis, 33, in Warren, U.S. District Court Judge Donald C. Nugent has denied several defense motions. The rulings were filed Wednesday after a motion hearing took place in federal court in Cleveland. 2 Trumbull County residents have measles

The Trumbull County Combined Health District confirmed two cases of measles in the county with the two people unvaccinated and the cases unrelated. During the infectious period, one person was at the Walmart on Goldie Road in Liberty on July 29 and at Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley emergency department on Market Street in Boardman on Aug. 2. County considers combining eastern, central courts

WARREN — Trumbull County Commissioners are considering passing a resolution to ask the Ohio Supreme Court to do a study to determine if the county’s central and eastern district courts should be consolidated into one court.
