Pet blessing set for Saturday

PET BLESSING: St. Francis of Assisi pet blessing will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the All Soul’s Cemetery, 3823 Hoagland Blackstub Road, Cortland. Bring your pet or a photo of them to receive a special blessing in the spirit of St. Francis, who cherished all of God’s creatures. Hello Trumbull County. You may have noticed a few combines running this week as grain harvest gets started in earnest throughout the region. As you can imagine, harvest is an incredibly stressful time of year for farmers. It doesn’t matter if it is silage, garlic, hay or grain, the pressure to harvest the crop in a timely manner coupled with the economic impacts can be overwhelming. Going for a birthday ride

BIRTHDAY BIKE RIDE: The 22nd Garrett Wonders Birthday Bike Ride, sponsored by the Out-Spokin’ Wheelmen, will take place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, beginning and ending at the Trumbull County Veterans Services Commission Building, 253 E. Market St., Warren. Participants can enjoy rides of 20, 30, 40 or 50 miles on the Garrett Wonders Bike Trail, the Trumbull County Greenway and adjoining roads.
