Make donations to TNR at Menards

PET SUPPLY DRIVE: Menards home improvement store is serving as a drop-off site for donations for TNR of Warren. Collections will be taken now through May 31 at the Elm Road store in Bazetta. There is a large collection box near the exit doors to place donations.

People can purchase food, treats, feeders, collars, beds, storage containers, mats and other supplies in Menards’ Pet and Wildlife Department for immediate donation.

WORK AT WOMEN’S PARK: Maintenance work will be done starting this spring at the Women’s Park off Mahoning Avenue in Warren. Work will include planting flowers, weeding, watering and caring for the fish pond.

The park is cared for by members of the Harriet Upton Association. Volunteers are needed.

MLK REMEMBRANCE: New Bethel Baptist Church, Hillman Street, Youngstown, will host a memorial service commemorating the 56th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s death, 6 p.m. today. The guest speaker is Vince Peterson II.

MS SUPPORT GROUP: The Cortland MS Support Group will meet 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Cortland Library, 578 Lakeview Drive, to share experiences, offer encouragement and connect with others who truly understand the journey. Light refreshments will be provided.

VACCINE CLINIC: The Warren City Health District will provide a public COVID-19 & and flu vaccine clinic 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Health District, 258 E. Market St. No appointment needed.

WELLNESS ON WHEELS: The Warren City Health District’s Wellness on Wheels will be on-site 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday April 10, at Rural King, 2485 Parkman Road NW, Warren. All services are available for Warren residents, as well as surrounding areas.

PRESS CLUB DINNER: The Youngstown Press Club’s annual meeting and dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. April 13 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
