• NEWTON TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES will have a year-end meeting at 6 p.m. today at the township administration building for administering oath of office for new trustee terms and year-end business.

• GIRARD CITY COUNCIL will have a swearing in ceremony for new and returning council members at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the courtroom at the municipal building.

• FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the senior center for the swearing in of new trustees for Bristol, Farmington and Mesopotamia.

• LORDSTOWN VILLAGE COUNCIL will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the village administration building followed by a finance committee meeting.

• CHAMPION TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES will have a special meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the township administration building to close the 2025 financial records and set temporary appropriations for the first quarter of 2026. All trustees will be sworn in at a ceremony at 6 p.m.
