ROTARY CLUB AUCTION: The Hubbard Rotary Club will host its 69th annual auction at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Roosevelt Student Wellness Center, 110 Orchard Ave., Hubbard. Bidding begins at 6 p.m. There will be a bourbon raffle and a basket raffle. Food will be available for purchase, provided by Eagle Grille and Tavern. Admission is free.

The auction is being conducted by George Roman Auctioneers in-person only. To see some of the auction items, check the Hubbard Rotary Facebook page.

SQUARE DANCE: The Friendly Squares will host their monthly dance, 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St., Niles. Howard Williamson will be the caller. The theme for the dance is veterans. This will be a high / low dance with alternating tips for new dancers and for more experienced dancers.

There is a $7 donation per person at the door. Dress code is casual. For additional information, call Gene Hammond at 330-506-0272.

MINI GOLF: The Girard Free Library will have a mini golf course using books, carts and other items at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for children and teens. Registration is required at the library.

OPEN HOUSE: The Moss Ancestral Home in Mineral Ridge will host a holiday open house 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday with tree lightings at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Refreshments will be provided,

VEGAN KITCHEN: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host Rust Belt Vegan Kitchen at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Join local author and home cook Meredith Pangrace for a fun and flavorful presentation based on her book “Rust Belt Vegan Kitchen.” She will demonstrate how to make hearty, satisfying vegan versions of classic Thanksgiving dishes. BUTTER MAKING: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host a Kids Club 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday where children ages 5 to 11 can learn about butter and make some to take home. The first and third Thursdays of each month programs are held related to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Registration is required at 330-652-1704, ext. 4.

WOMEN PILOTS: The Upton Association’s “First Wednesday” speaker series will feature a program about Women Pilots of World War II 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Upton House, 380 Mahoning Avenue in Warren, The presenter will be Alexandra Lausin, the interim director of the International Women’s Air and Space Museum in Cleveland.

The program will shine a light on not only American women’s experiences during the war and aviation, but international connections. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the free program follows.
