Ward-Thomas hosts museum night

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: McKinley Memorial Library will present Night at the Museum from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Children in kindergarten through third grade are invited to spend an evening at the Ward-Thomas Museum. They will listen to a spooky story read by a McKinley Memorial Library staff member and take a candlelight tour of the Ward-Thomas House before enjoying apple cider and cookies in the carriage house. Costumes are encouraged, and there is no fee to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The Ward-Thomas Museum is located at 503 Brown St., Niles. HISTORY NIGHT: The Leavittsburg Heritage Association will host History Night at the Museum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the museum, 4901 W. Market St. Speaker will be Tom Marsh, who will share about his family business The Corner Ice Cream Shop. The event is free.

CHAIR YOGA: The McKinley Memorial Library will present Chair Yoga at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Mary Brown of A Moment for Me Yoga and Wellness Center will guide participants through gentle stretches using a chair for support. The program will be at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Registration is required at 330-652-1704, ext. 3.

CHESS NIGHT: New Covenant Baptist Church, 1606 Salt Springs Road, Lordstown, will host a Chess Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday for beginners and experienced players who wish to meet on monthly for a friendly game of chess. For information, call 234-719-8461.

WELLNESS ON WHEELS: The Warren City Health District’s Wellness on Wheels will attend McGuffey School’s Trunk-Or-Treat Event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the school, 3465 Tod Ave. NW, Warren. All services are available for Warren residents. For information, call 330-841-2596
