SPEAKER IN BLOOMFIELD: The North Bloomfield annual harvest dinner will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the historic town hall on the square. There will be a potluck dinner with ham, with guests asked to bring items to share, including salad, vegetable or dessert. Guest speaker is Jason Lee, naturalist at Mosquito Lake State Park in Bazetta. There will be live birds.
CRAFT ACTIVITY: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host wooden pumpkin decorating or leaf decorating at 6 p.m. Tuesday for ages 12 and older at the McKinley Birthplace Memorial Home All supplies will be provided. To register, call 330-652-1704, Ext. 3
GUEST SPEAKER: The Girard Free Library will have guest speaker Greg Kektik at 6 p.m. Wednesday. He is the lead investigator with the paranormal Tri-County Ghost Hunters, He will provide insights and information into the paranormal and discuss the history behind some of Ohio’s most haunted places,
ANTIQUE AND RUMMAGE SALE: The Women’s Guild of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4453 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna, will host its annual antique and rummage sale 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday ($5 admission), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. There also will be a bake sale.
COLORING CLUB: Adults are invited to enjoy a peaceful evening of coloring 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Participants can use the supplies provided or bring their own. For more information, call 330-652-1704.
HAYSTACK DINNER: The Mesopotamia Memorial and Historical Association will have a fundraiser Haystack Dinner 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Mesopotamia town hall, corner of state Routes 534 and 87. Watch for signs. Cost is $16 for adults and $12 for children over 8. Carry-outs are available.
BOOK SALE: Hubbard Friends of the library will have a fall book sale 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the library’s first floor meeting room. The outdoor garden project is complete and includes a small waterfall, reading nook and other items. Proceeds from the sale will support the library and its programs and services.
RUMMAGE SALE: Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St., Warren, will host a rummage sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be a variety of items.
VALLEY CHOIR: Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles Cortland Road, Howland, will present the Senior Valley Choir at 6 p.m. Friday. Refreshments will be served. The Senior Valley Choir, which is sponsored by SCOPE, has 30 senior citizens who love to sing. Donations of nonperishable food will be accepted for the Paw Pantry at Howland schools.
BENEFIT RUN: The fourth annual Remember Nhu walk / run will be 8 a.m. Saturday at the Greenway Trail at the Kent State Trumbull Campus, Champion. Proceeds will benefit Remember Nhu, a nonprofit committed to ending child sex slavery. Remember Nhu has more than 115 homes in 20 countries around the world to help protect children.
