Seeing Eye: Programs planned at Mosquito Lake
UPCOMING MOSQUITO LAKE PROGRAMS: Mosquito Lake State Park will host various naturalist programs for the Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, there will be stand-up paddleboarding from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the marina. Participants must be age 12 or older. Check availability at 330-638-5700. There will be an archery and BB gun shoot 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the archery range.
A wildlife show will be at 5 p.m. at the park amphitheater. An owl prowl will be at 7 p.m. at the amphitheater, and movie night at dusk at the amphitheater.
On Sunday, there will be fishing for beginners at 9 a.m. at the marina and boat rental, and movie night at dusk at the amphitheater.
SMALL BUSINESS EXPO: A Small Business Saturday Expo will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the old Joseph Badger School grounds in Kinsman Township center. The event is open to the public.

LABOR DAY CLOSING: In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the Warren City Health District will be closed Monday.
PET SUPPLY DRIVE: Menards home improvement store in Bazetta is hosting a pet supply drive now through Sept. 30, accepting donations of pet food, treats and other supplies to benefit local animal shelters and humane societies. There is a large collection box near the exit doors at Menards for donations.
VACCINE CLINIC: The Warren City Health District will offer a public COVID vaccine clinic 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the health district, 258 E. Market St.

MOBILE MAMMOGRAPHY: The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center (JACBCC) Mobile Mammography Unit will be traveling around northeast Ohio throughout September.
