Sixteen family-owned businesses will be honored Wednesday at the Fifth Annual Family-Owned Business Recognition Dinner at The Lake Club in Poland.

The Youngstown / Warren Regional Chamber, in partnership with Huntington, HBK, Roetzel & Andress and JFS Wealth Advisors, are presenting the awards ceremony.

Whitney Haslam Johnson and JW Johnson, managing partners of Haslam Sports Group — owner of the Cleveland Browns, Milwaukee Bucks and Columbus Crew — are keynote speakers for the event, which runs 5 to 8 p.m.

Of the selected honorees, one will be chosen from each of four categories as the recipient of a special award. The 2026 finalists are:

• HBK Growth Story Award: Advanced Technology Partners, AllStaff, ECMSI and Youngstown Clothing Co.

• Roetzel & Andress Local to National Presence Award: Bolt Construction Inc., Countrywide Paving & Concrete, Redex Industries and Thompson Insurance Group.

• Huntington Social Impact Award: Camelot Lanes, ESM Enterprise, Gonatas Real Estate and SERVPRO Team Dobson.

• JFS Wealth Advisors Success In Succession Award: Distinctive Details, Gasser Chair, Joe Koch Construction and TruCut Incorporated.

As leaders of one of the nation’s most visible family-run sports organizations, the Johnsons bring a perspective on family enterprise, professional sports and community impact.

Whitney’s vision and direction helps lead the organization business, utilizing her expertise in communications, marketing, brand, fan and team member experiences to influence the organizational ethos of win-fan-community. The daughter of Jimmy and Dee Haslam, she worked at Pilot Flying J from 2004-2024, lastly serving as chief experience officer and on the company’s board of directors.

JW, Whitney’s husband, helps lead the strategic direction of the organization’s business side, particularly focused on media, marketing, partnerships, fan experience and digital content. His professional background includes 15 years at CBS Sports, during which he was an Emmy award-winning associate producer and associate director. He covered major sporting events including the Masters, Super Bowl and Final Four.
