Valley manufacturer secures $25K grant
Roemer Industries, a manufacturer of custom metal nameplates and industrial labels in Masury, has been awarded a $25,000 Small Business Grant from JobsOhio, the company announced Wednesday.
Roemer will use the grant to invest in updated manufacturing technology equipment that will enhance production efficiency and expand its capabilities, supporting the company’s ability to meet increasing customer demand and pursue future growth opportunities.
“This investment represents a major step forward in our commitment to innovation and quality,” said Jill Palumbo, Roemer’s chief operating officer. “This powerful new technology ensures we can meet our customers’ most demanding specifications with greater speed, expand into new markets and build upon our decades-long legacy of industrial identification excellence.”
With more than 80 years of manufacturing experience, Roemer uses printing and fabrication capabilities to provide durable tags and labels for harsh industrial environments.
The JobsOhio Small Business Grant is designed to boost the growth of local businesses in eligible communities or those owned by underrepresented populations. The program supports fixed asset investments, workforce expansion and operational improvements critical to a company’s long-term success.
Lake to River Economic Development worked with Roemer to secure the funding. The agency is a JobsOhio regional network partner serving Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties. It served as the advocate for the company, helping to move along the application process and championing the project to JobsOhio decision makers.
“This investment will support Roemer’s continued growth and strengthen manufacturing capabilities that are vital to our region’s economic future,” said David Wilaj, director of project management at Lake to River.
