Niles Expanded Metals installs expanded press
Niles Expanded Metals has announced the installation of a Bruck Expanded Metal Press machine at its Niles facility.
The new Bruck STM 350-3700 features a maximum pressing force of 350 metric tons with a working width of 145 inches, allowing for the manufacture of wide-format expanded metal sheets.
Its design enables the machine to process a range of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other alloys. This versatility allows it to produce anything from lightweight decorative meshes to heavy-duty industrial grating.
Additionally, customizable feed systems and adjustable tooling options allow users to optimize metal strand widths, bond sizes and overall mesh patterns. The Bruck STM 350-3700
ensures enhanced operator functionality and reduces setup time. Its construction and high-capacity output are designed for heavy workloads, offering improved production efficiency while minimizing waste.
“Our customers rely on us for exceptional expanded metal quality and dependability,” said Bill Phillips Jr., president and chief executive officer of Niles Expanded Metals. “With the Bruck press machine on our production line, we’ve further strengthened our ability to deliver on this promise. This is an exciting step forward for our company and the industries we serve.”
Founded in 1959, Niles Expanded Metals’ product lines include flattened and standard expanded metal, Experf, architectural and decorative options, micromesh, security fencing, grating, stair treads and composites.
These products are available in carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, cupro-nickel, titanium, nickel and most other ductile materials.
