Zeiders plays Youngstown and the world
Before Warren Zeiders travels the world, he’s coming to Youngstown.
Zeiders will play the Covelli Centre on Friday, the same week that he announced his first world tour, which includes shows throughout Europe and Australia next year.
His Youngstown appearance was delayed by more than a year. He originally was booked as direct support for Tim McGraw’s YLIVE concert in 2024. After that show was postponed to this year, Zeiders was booked as a headliner at the arena.
Zeiders is only 26 years old, but his songs already have been streamed more than 3.6 billion times globally. He has 2 billion TikTok views and nearly 8 million monthly Spotify listeners. He had a No. 1 country airplay single in 2023 with “Pretty Little Poison.”
He may sing songs with titles like “Addictions” and “Intoxicated,” but his latest single charts a different path. It’s a rendition of the hymn “How Great Thou Art.”
“‘How Great Thou Art’ has always been my favorite hymnal. It was one of those songs that always brought tears to my eyes,” Zeiders said in the press release announcing the single. “This song was my grandmother’s and my dad’s favorite, and also my grandfather’s — the one I never got to meet, since he passed away before I was born. It holds so much meaning for me, and in the true spirit of Christmas, I wanted to record and share my version. When I got the first recording back, I had the blessing of playing it for my mom, dad, sister and grandparents. Seeing all of us tear up together, I knew this song would touch hearts and connect with people in the way God intends.”
Opening the show will be Chayce Beckham, who won season 19 of “American Idol” in 2021. He had a No. 1 country airplay single in 2023 with “23” and the followup single, “Everything I Need” from his “Bad for Me” cracked the top 40.
Beckham arrives in Youngstown as a newlywed after getting married to his longtime girlfriend this fall in a Las Vegas ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
His new single, “Holdin’ You, Lovin’ You,” is dedicated to his wife.
