Violinist booked for Evening Under the Stars benefit

Tickets are on sale now for the Avamar Foundation’s Evening Under the Stars benefit.

This year’s entertainment is violinist Alexander Markov accompanied by an orchestra and choir. Markov has performed at Carnegie Hall and with such ensembles as the Philadelphia Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris and Montreal Symphony.

The event also will include an exhibition by artist Susie Sharpe, dinner by AVI Foodsystems and prepared by executive chef Jeff McClure and wines by L’uva Bella.

Proceeds from the 17th annual event will help the elderly pay for prescription medications.

The event is Aug. 22 and 23 at CADOBAZ, 2747 Cadwallader Sonk Road, Bazetta, with hors d’oeuvres at 5 p.m. and dining at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets are $250 ($150 tax deductible) and $350 VIP ($250 deductible) and can be purchased online at avamarfoundation.org.
