Playhouse Youth Theatre sets ‘Midsummer’ auditions
Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will have auditions for the first production of its 2025-26 season on Aug. 8 and 10.
Students ages 5 to 18 are invited to audition for the William Shakespeare comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Children ages 5 to 10 will audition as a group at 5 p.m. each day in the front room at the Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane.
The audition will include some physical activity.
Auditions for those ages 11 and older will start at 5:45 p.m.
Those auditioning should prepare a two-minute monologue and 10 lines from the Shakespeare show of their choosing.
Video auditions will be accepted for those unable to attend in-person auditions and can be emailed to the director, Isa Foltz, at isabelfoltz4@gmail.com. Videos must be received by Aug. 11 to be considered.
All roles are open. The production team for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is committed to celebrating individuals’ talents and consciously creating equal and inclusive opportunities for performers.
