Steve Vai postpones Packard show due to surgery
WARREN — Guitar player Steve Vai is postponing his North American tour in support of his upcoming album “Inviolate” until fall, including a show originally scheduled in March at Packard Music Hall.
According to a news release, it’s not COVID-19 but surgery that has caused the postponement. Vai had surgery on his shoulder about a year ago. In preparing for the tour, it became clear that a new injury emerged that requires another surgery, forcing the delay.
The local date now is set for Nov. 8 at Packard. All tickets already purchased will be honored for the new date. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. “Inviolate” is set for release Jan. 28 by Favored Nations / Mascot Label Group.
