DEAR DR. ROACH: My daughter, who’s 44 years old, was recently diagnosed with rectal cancer. It’s stage III and contained. She has no cancer in her liver, lymph nodes, rectum or colon. Her doctor is going to start her on a more aggressive chemo than he first thought of, then radiation. OWR plans ‘Pagliacci’ for Powers
Tickets go on sale Friday for “Pagliacci,” which will be Opera Western Reserve’s fall production. “Pagliacci” (The Clowns) is a verismo-style opera, featuring realistic characters thrust into everyday life crises. Italian composer Ruggero Leoncavallo wrote both the words and the music in 1892.
