DEAR HELOISE: The first thing I read daily in the Kenosha News is “Hints From Heloise.” My go-to solution for ink stains is hairspray. Simply spray the ink spot, let it soak for a few minutes, then wash the item as usual. When treating a stain for the first time, I never put the item in the dryer, as heat will set the stain. August brings us more birthdays in the family. A happy 67th birthday to my oldest sibling Leah on Aug. 15. Aug. 16 granddaughter Brooklyn had her first birthday. We gave her a balancer bike.
