Manifesting versus dreaming: Making reality happen

I am the biggest dreamer. And it’s not just during the day or night; I dream in every moment, in every conversation, in every possibility.

I don’t just dream for myself — I dream for others. Someone tells me their idea and suddenly, I’m projecting their dream into full-blown reality, complete with the details they haven’t even imagined yet. It’s a gift and a curse, really.

But as much as I live in the world of dreams, I am just as much, if not more, a proponent and advocate of manifesting. And why am I talking about this now?

Because I just had one of those weekends that remind you of the magic of putting dreams into motion.

If you haven’t been to the new Blind Bear over by Mill Creek Park off Canfield Road, let me tell you: it’s a must.

The ambiance is that perfect blend of trendy yet comfortable, the food is next-level (a true foodie’s haven), and the company? Well, that’s what made my weekend unforgettable.

You ever had one of those days where the conversation is so invigorating, so electric, that it carries you through the entire week? If you haven’t, let this be your sign to find the people who spark that fire.

My newfound friend and I sat there, sharing experiences, grievances and most importantly — our dreams. And let me tell you, these dreams weren’t just passing thoughts; they were in full technicolor, bold and vibrant.

But here’s where the shift happened. As we talked, we weren’t just dreaming — we were manifesting.

See, dreams are beautiful, but they live in our heads. They’re those picture-perfect moments where everything is flawless — your hair, your outfit, the setting — whether you’re kayaking, stepping off a private jet in Paris or simply walking down the beach with your feet skimming the water. They’re beautiful and enticing, but they’re just thoughts.

Manifesting, though? That’s different.

That’s when you start talking about your dreams out loud, putting them into the universe, mapping out how you’ll get there.

It’s when you move from “I wish” to “I will.” It’s making a plan, identifying the steps, and believing that it’s all within reach.

And that’s exactly what we were doing at the Blind Bear. We talked about what we wanted, the places we saw ourselves and the paths that could get us there. Whether we realized it or not, we weren’t just wishing, we were actively bringing those dreams to life. How cool is that?

Life can feel repetitive, mundane, a never-ending list of responsibilities.

Some necessary, some wanted, some just part of the deal. But when your responsibilities align with what you’re manifesting? When they’re a part of building something bigger? It doesn’t feel like a burden. It feels like progress. Like PR-ing your own life every time you take a step forward.

So, here’s my challenge to you: find your people, the ones who make you dream in technicolor. Speak your dreams out loud. Make a plan. Move from dreaming to manifesting, because once you start, life will never feel quite the same again.

From me to you, let’s make it happen.
