WARREN SCOPE: Hand and Foot, a card game, will be played at 11:30 a.m. Mondays at the Warren SCOPE Center on North Park Avenue. Hand and Foot is a variation of Canasta that became popular in the United States in the 1950s.
RETIREES TO MEET: Howland Schools Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. August 5 at Shepherd of the Valley’s main building, 4100 North River Road, Warren. All Howland Schools retirees and their spouses / guests are welcome to attend.

BIG BROTHERS / BIG SISTERS SEEKS MENTORS: SCOPE Senior Services is partnering with Big Brothers / Big Sisters to conduct a monthly mentorship program where senior citizens will partner up with a child to communicate with them on a regular basis. Thanks to a grant from the Trumbull County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Board, up to 25 senior citizens over 60 can serve as mentors to a child ages 6 to 14 years of age.
Big Brothers / Big Sisters will put together a monthly activity for the mentors and children to meet and get to know each other. The normal activity program will occur at the Warren Senior Citizen Center located at the old YWCA building. There can also be special events held during the year. This will be an after-school type program and plans to begin activities in September. Call Big Brothers / Big Sisters at 330-545-0002, or visit the Warren SCOPE Senior Citizen Center at 375 N. SENIOR WATCH PROGRAM: Liberty residents 60 and older may sign up for the Liberty Township Senior Watch Program. Contact Marcy Orlando at 330-759-1315, ext. 1018, or Michelle Rusu at 330-759-0363, ext. 2002.
PERI 18 TO MEET: The Public Employee Retirees (PERI) of Mahoning County, Chapter 18, will meet for a noon luncheon Aug. 5 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road. Cost is $19.
Guest speaker will be Juvenile Justice Court Judge Theresa Dellick.

FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER: The Farmington Senior Center, 150 College St., Farmington, is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Lunches are $5 for those 60 and older and $6 for those younger than 60. They are served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Homemade soups, salads and desserts are available.
Activities through the week will include dominoes, current events, puzzle challenge, Self Reliance Society, walking club, knitting, arts and crafts, Matter of Balance, card games, practical skills, workout with light weights and more.

Breakfast is served 8 a.m. to noon Mondays.
History club is 9 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday.

Trivia Fun and Sundae Bar: 10 a.m. to noon July 25 in the coffee bar.
Center services and programs are funded by the Girard City Senior Levy and in part by the Trumbull County Senior Levy, Direction Home of Eastern Ohio and the Trumbull County commissioners.
CENTENARIAN SEARCH: The Trumbull County Senior Services Advisory Council is looking to celebrate and honor the life and wisdom of Trumbull County’s centenarians in September. Names and contact information are needed for any Trumbull County citizens who have attained at least 100 years of age by Sept. 1, 2025, in honor of National Centenarian Day, which is Sept. 22. If you know someone who is a centenarian, send their name, contact person and phone number by Sept. 1. A special recognition will be prepared for Sept. 26 at a location to be determined.
