Fri. 3:20 p.m.: GM Lordstown cuts second shift

LORDSTOWN - Workers leaving the Lordstown General Motors plant following this afternoon's plantwide meeting told reporters the plant's second shift has been eliminated. This follows last year's elimination of the third shift at the plant. About 3,000 workers had still been employed at the facility's assembly and stamping plants. WARREN - Convicted killer Austin Burke will serve 58 years in prison after he was sentenced this morning on multiple counts in two separate Trumbull County Common Pleas Courtrooms. Common Pleas Court Judge Andrew Logan sentenced Burke, 19, of Bristolville to serve 47 years for the aggravated murder of Brandon Sample and the armed robbery of Pizza Joe's restaurant in Cortland, which occurred in June 2017. GREAT MILLS, Md. (AP) — At least three people have been injured in a shooting this morning inside a Maryland high school. No fatalities have been reported.
