The street in front of Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland recording studio will be renamed after the legendary guitar player, and local educator and Vindys’ guitarist John Anthony will be a part of the festivities. Local favorites Left End will play what is being billed as its “Final Ride” on Oct. 10 at Powers Auditorium. Left End was one of the most popular Mahoning Valley bands in the 1970s. Packed clubs and local radio support led to a record deal with Polydor Records, which released the band’s album “Spoiled Rotten” in 1973.
