Let's have a parade ... for the Constitution, Liberty and the U.S. Army only!
Rumor has it that the President plans to glom on to your parade for his 79th birthday, dimming your glory like a small moon eclipsing your solar radiance.
The price may be $45 million or more.
Paradoxically, in these days of economic instability, uncertainty, and tariff-mania, the President is asking children to embrace austerity, suggesting they only buy "five pencils" for school and for the girls to be gifted only "three" dolls at Christmas.
For a 79-year-old senior who has lived an inherited billionaire's life, who owns a gilded mansion in Mar-a-Lago, has re-decorated a gilded Oval Office, has plans to re-do the Rose Garden, is refinancing a new Air Force One, plans to accept a mega-airliner from Qatar, and plans to build a ballroom in the White House, why should the children suffer?
Billionaires are not suffering…citizens are.
Salt in the wound.
The Army's kidnapped birthday parade on June 14 will now cost up to 45 million dollars or more because the "Tariff-Whisperer" ordered the following parade additions:
1. 6,600 marching soldiers.
2. 50 helicopters.
3. A large paratrooper jump.
4. 150 military vehicles including Abram M-1 tanks, Bradley vehicles, Paladin Artillery vehicles, and howitzers.
5. Seven bands.
Apparently, money is no obstacle for an ego-massaging spectacle.
Citizens!
Put down your dolls, and pick up a pencil and write the President and plead with him that the children must have some joy at Christmas.
Stroke his ego by complimenting him about his amazing results on his latest cognitive test.
Ask him WWPD? What would the Pope do?
Implore him to call off the austerity for children while cancelling the socialism for billionaires, who already resemble the bloated porcines in Thomas Nast's Gilded Age political cartoons.
Humility, budgetary restraint, and a back-row-seat for an ego-laden politician seeking to bask in the reflected glory of the U.S. Army.
Glory, honor, and a parade for the United States, the Army, and its Constitution.
PS: Washington DC streets will have to be re-surfaced at the citizen's expense after the Abram M-1 tanks are done with them!
