Tue., 2:30pm: UPDATE2 Route 82 reopens following truck crash

BROOKFIELD — A semi-truck driver was taken to the hospital and the westbound lane of state Route 82 near Addison Road, which was closed until about 2 p.m. following an accident around 8:50 a.m. today.

According to Tribune Chronicle newspartner WYTV 33, the truck headed east went through a guardrail, down an embankment, and landed on 82 westbound blocking traffic. It took about an hour to free the driver from the cab of the truck, who was then taken away by ambulance.

The Ohio Highway Patrol and Brookfield, Hubbard, Liberty and Vienna fire departments were on the scene.
