INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- After holding a 45-34 lead with 15 minutes remaining, the Youngstown State Penguins surrendered 30 points the rest of the way to close out the weekend with a 64-53 loss to IUPUI.
With the loss, YSU falls to 8-6 overall and in the Horizon League.
Senior forward Mary Dunn led the Penguins with a game-high 21 points and freshman Nneka Obiazor scored 17, all of which came in the first half. Obiazor made a career-high five 3-pointers on the night.
The Penguins close out the regular season next weeked with Friday and Saturday games against Cleveland State at home. Tipoff on both days is scheduled for 2 p.m. with both games the start of a doubleheader with the men's team.
