Kepler signs with D’backs while still serving suspension for PEDs

PHOENIX — Outfielder Max Kepler, still serving an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug, agreed Sunday to a contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks for a prorated share of the $780,000 minimum and the chance to earn $500,000 in roster bonuses. Kepler can start a minor league assignment Wednesday, when the suspension is scheduled to have 15 days remaining.
