YOUNGSTOWN -- Jesse "Hollywood" Urbina of Toledo scored a unanimous decision over Austin Gibson of Struthers' Burnside A.C in the main event of Saturday's Fight Night at the YO #8 all-amateur boxing show at St. Mary's Byzantine Hall.
The 147 pound clash with Gibson, who faced a standing eight-count in the first round, was Urbina's 100th amateur fight as he ran his record to 58-42 overall with the victory.
"I knew that he was a pressure-type fighter so I stuck with my jab, finding the range then using my combinations," Urbina said after the fight.
Despite the loss, Gibson (19-12), who came in with 69 less fights than Urbina, was pleased with his performance.
"I took the fight on 24 hour notice so I was pleased overall," Gibson said. "We went toe-to-toe for three rounds, I have some stuff that I still have to work on but overall, I was pleased."
Angelo Martino (3-5) of Youngstown, who has been fighting just a little over a year, was the lone local winner after scoring a unanimous decision over another local hopeful, Lennox Gonzalez (4-7) of Golden String Boxing Club in a 60 pound pairing.
Moussa Ndiaye (5-0) of Kings Gym in Bedford Heights remained undefeated after scoring a first-round KO just 66 seconds into his 175 pound fight with Dwayne Eley (1-1) of Golden String B.C. while Correy Williams (1-2) suffered a split decision setback to Juan Porras, Jr. (3-2) of Blacklick at 135 pounds.
Ndaiye's left hook caught Eley off guard and ended the fight.
"Moussa is 20 years-old, has been boxing for just about a year and hopes to eventually turn pro," said his manager and interpreter James Kopniske. "He started boxing late but is one of the hardest workers we have ever had in our gym."
Eley said he will get back into the gym and work harder as he prepares for his next fight.
"He caught me with a good left hook," Eley said. "I felt like things were going good up until then. Next time, I'll keep my hands up."
Williams was disappointed at the outcome of his battle.
"I was a little disappointed at the result," Williams said. "The goal was to come in quick, hit him then counter. I felt like I had the first and second rounds, giving him the edge in the third round."
Carlos Torres of Lorain ran his record to 4-0 when the referee stopped his 147 pound contest with Dymond Chisolm (1-3) of Kelly Pavlik's Ghost Boxing Club at 1:40 of the second round while Jaden Orr Biggs (7-3) of Cleveland's 2-Tone Boxing Club scored a split decision victory over fellow Clevelander Moufid Said (2-2) in their 147 pound clash.
The last bout on the card featured Ya'heiness Fitzgerald (2-0) of Team T.U.F.F. in Cleveland, who was a unanimous winner over Dream Hollis (1-5) of Bula Boxing in Ashtabula in their 85 pound pairing.

175 pounds - Moussa Ndiaye (5-0, Kings Gym, Bedford Heights) def. Dwayne Eley (1-1, Golden String B.C., Youngstown), KO, round one (1:06).
147 pounds - Carlos Torres (4-0, Legacy Boxing Club, Lorain) def. Dymond Chisolm (1-3, Kelly Pavlik's Ghost Boxing Club, Boardman), RSC (referee stopped contest), round two (1:40).
60 pounds - Angelo Martino (3-5, Youngstown) def. Lennox Gonzalez (4-7, Golden String B.C., Youngstown), unanimous decision.
