DIVISION II District Championship
at Windmill Lakes
Poland (Ryan Lombardo 74, Matthew Morrone 76, Angelo Rinaldi 76, Nicholas Dipasqua 76, Parker Ogden 85) shot 302 as a team, capturing the Division II Northeast District Championship, advancing to play in the state championships in Akron. Ryan Lombardo's 74 earned a second-place individual finish, while Rinaldi, Morrone and Dipasqua all tied for sixth individually.
BOYS SOCCER
Canfield 2, Louisville 0 -- Luke Goodrich and Yigit Kapki scored a goal each for Canfield (9-0-2). Chase Cuffle assisted on one goal and Rocco Catheline made two saves.
VOLLEYBALL
South Range 3, Girard 1 -- Anna Toy was dominant, totaling 23 kills, 16 digs and three aces to keep South Range (17-0) unbeaten. Natalie Burnett added 18 assists, eight digs and two aces, while Haylie Juhn led the Raiders with 17 digs. For Girard, Fiona Allan and Keely Meszaros combined for 22 kills, and Meszaros had eight digs. Chloe Plant added 13 assists and eight digs.
Brookfield 3, Liberty 0 -- Lily Horsman led Brookfield with 34 digs, while the duo of Kinely Brant and Auna Husband had 10 digs each. Brant also led the Warriors with 20 assists and four blocks, while Husband notched three aces. Cassi Samios was the team leader in kills with 15.
LaBrae 3, Newton Falls 0 -- Leyla Dangerfield led Newton Falls in assists with 19. Jada Blutcher added 18 kills and Kirra Howard had 18 points for the Tigers.
Columbiana 3, Valley Christian 0 -- Ava Marks led Columbiana (15-0) with 18 points, nine aces, three kills and two digs. Eva Waller added 14 assists, nine points, four digs, two aces and one kill for the Clippers. Addisyn Dangler chipped in with nine points, seven kills and three aces and Landry Smith had eight kills and four points.
Crestview 3, Southeast 0 -- Kerrigan Miller had 12 digs and three aces to lead Crestview (13-2). Bella Ciapala added 11 kills for the Rebels and Sophia Noling added seven aces and six kills.
Badger 3, Lordstown 0 -- Kyleigh Hall totaled 28 assists for Badger (9-7). Alison Price added 17 kills, 15 digs, eight points and four aces, while Morgan Hall and Sarah Miller had 11 digs each. Reghan Broadwater led the Braves in points with 10, including two aces.
