BASEBALL
Canfield 4, South Range 1 — Will Murphy limited the Raiders to one run on the mound in the Cardinals’ victory, scattering five hits and striking out five with two walks. Joey Gabriel had two hits, while Jake Dovich had a hit and two RBIs for Canfield. Tommy Titus had a double and an RBI for South Range, as four others added a hit.
LaBrae 6, Girard 5 — The Vikings’ bats were hot, as Landon Brunstetter and Easton Armstrong each had three hits and combined for three RBIs. Austin Rowe and Lucas Glaser added two hits apiece, as Gavin Gee was credited with the victory on the mound. Jaden Royal finished with two hits for the Indians, along with two hits and two RBIs for Bobby Levonyak.
Maplewood 11, Chalker 2 — The Rockets clinched their second straight NAC title in their win over the Wildcats. Kenyan Clover was 4-for-5 with threee RBIs, as Maplewood recorded 10 hits. Tyson Webster also finished with two hits and three RBIs, while Jayden Zumerling had two hits and Josh Suba had two RBIs. Webster went the distance with six strikeouts and three walks in the win. Four players recorded a hit for Chalker.
University School 11, Howland 3 — The Tigers were unable to overcome nine runs in the sixth inning by University School. Richie Ansel had a hit and an RBI for Howland, while Terri Werner, Sully O’Donnell and Bode Biggin also finished with a hit, as Steven Bubon took the loss on the mound.
SOFTBALL
LaBrae 9, Hubbard 6 — The Vikings put up 15 hits, led by four from Riley Rowe and three from Leah DeArmitt. Rowe had a triple and double, while DeArmitt picked up the win in the circle with six strikeouts and also had a home run and four RBIs. Shelby Bragg and Isabella Michael each added two hits and an RBI. Layla Songer and Haleigh Taylor led the Eagles with three hits apiece and combined for three RBIs.
Chalker 3, Maplewood 1 — Chalker’s Tatum Hudak got the best of Maplewood’s Lexi Yannucci and Addison Marker in a classic pitcher’s duel. Hudak finished with 16 strikeouts and five walks, while limiting the Rockets to two hits and no earned runs. Yannucci and Marker combined for 15 strikeouts and six walks, as the Wildcats scored three earned runs in the first inning off two hits. Katelyn Cook had a triple and two RBIs for Chalker, and Lauran Krieg had a hit and an RBI for Maplewood.

Champion 12, Southeast 11 — The Golden Flashes clinched the MVAC Grey Tier outright with their win over the Pirates. Ava Sylvester led Champion with three hits, while Addie McIntosh blasted two home runs for five RBIs. Josie Perhach had a pair of hits for two RBIs, and Jonna Strock, Sami Munroe and Maddie Sylvester each finished with two hits.
