BOYS BASKETBALL

Pymatuning Valley 74, Lordstown 68 — With his team trailing 56-45 going into the fourth quarter, Justin Britton caught fire. Britton scored 18 of his game high 34 points in the fourth quarter, including five 3-pointers. Alex Simon added 10 points for the Lakers in the come from behind win. Ganon Force was hot for Lordstown, pouring in 30 points of his own, including 11 in the first quarter and 10 in the third. Seth Chambers added 17 points and Jonah Force had 11 for the Red Devils.

Austintown Fitch 62, Hubbard 32 — Braeden Sallee and Brady Evans paced the Fitch offense with 14 points each. Junie Higgs added 10 points with a pair of 3’s for the Falcons. Hubbard was led by Kenyen Franklin with 12 points.

Brookfield 55, Newton Falls 39 — Blake Hammond led a well rounded Brookfield attack with 12 points. Brody Smith added 11 points and Judah DeJoy and Rob Flynn had 10 points each for the Warriors. Dallas Dunlap led Newton Falls with 14 points and Phil Davis added 12.

Poland 57, Salem 37 — Carmine Tukalo scored 22 points to lead the Poland attack. Nick Nitolli added 16 for the Bulldogs. Ty Manion led Salem with 13 points.

Badger 65, Mathews 63 — Alton Winchek poured in a game high 30 points as Badger won a tight contest over Mathews. Ty McWilliams added 19 for the Braves. Mathews got 24 points from Jake Petak. The Mustangs also got big scoring nights from Caden Brubaker (15) and Anthony Markovich (13).

Warren JFK 50, Struthers 46 — Henry Phillips knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 21 overall to lead JFK. Preston Geracitano added 15 for the Eagles. Struthers was led by Tommy Cole with 20 points and Jimmy Shaffer with 15.

Lisbon 68, Columbiana 55 — Aiden Ramgeet scored 26 points, including four 3-pointers for Lisbon. AJ Ramgeet added 20 for the Blue Devils. Columbiana was led by Cooper Brown with 18 points. Hunter Davanzo added 16 for the Clippers, including four 3-pointers.

Canton Central Catholic 57, Boardman 44 — With Canton Central Catholic picking up the win, head coach Matt Kramer picked up his 500th career win. Lance Vlacovsky led the Crusaders with 18 points, and Jake Bowling had 15. Jayse Varley scored a game-high 19 points for the Spartans, and Jerry Smith finished with 16.

Bristol 73, St. John 70 — Logan Briggs scored 25 to lead Bristol. Colt Berry added 23 points with four 3-pointers for the Panthers. Gus Petros led St. John with 17 points. Augie Pugliese added 15 and Jack Collins had 14.

Flyght Prep Academy 66, Western Reserve 50 — Western Reserve traveled to Columbus for holiday tournament action. The Blue Devils were led by Connor Cochran with 23 points and a 15 point, 12 rebound double-double from Josh Klasic.

Southeast 70, LaBrae 59 — Joe Sharish scored 24 points to lead Southeast. Cohen Richardson added 17 for Pirates. LaBrae was led by Austin Rowe with a game high 33 points, including seven 3’s.

Ursuline 83, North Catholic (Pa.) 77 — Noah Bell (39 points) and Jaylen Gunther (38) matched North Catholic’s point total (77) for Ursuline. Ursuline trailed 48-47 at the half before pulling away with an 18-9 third quarter. Gunther knocked down five 3-pointers for the Irish. Brandon Pickett (27) and Jason Fredericks (23) led North Catholic in scoring.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Campbell 43, Sebring 31 — Kiera Kemmery led Sebring with 10 points. Raegan Wynn and Mariah Vanstinburg added nine points each.
