GIRLS SOCCER

Badger 7, Maplewood 3 — The Braves had their attack going in a 7-3 victory over the Rockets. Maelyn Custer scored three goals to lead Badger, while Ruby Smegal scored two goals and Brinley Rice and Ariella Tuchek each finished with one goal. Rice had two assists and Custer and Smegal each also contributed an assist, as Piper Dailey had seven saves in net. Morgan Himes led Maplewood with her own hat trick, while Tessa DiCapo had an assist and Lauran Krieg had 13 saves in goal.

Warren JFK 7, St. Thomas Aquinas 0 — Six different players got in on the scoring in the Eagles 7-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. Maylee Nadaud led JFK with two goals and an assist, while Sophia Tilley also tallied a goal and an assist. Shayna Massacci, Zoie Luzadder, Saumya Sheth and Kaylee Gordon each also scored a goal. Alivia Moore, Olivia Tilley, Carly Dittmer and Ava Trevelline each added an assist, as Celia LaFuria had four saves in goal.

Poland 9, Struthers 0 — The Bulldogs dominated the Wildcats 9-0. Delaney Ankeles had three goals, as Kennedy Henderson, Ashlynn Kushner, Ellie Lewis, Julianna McDougal, Elliana Thompson and Emelyn Whorten each also scored a goal. Addie Demain finished with two assists, while Ankeles, Henderson, Kushner, Eliana Lloyd and Sabrina Metzinger each tallied an assist.

Niles 7, Hubbard 1 — Maddie Yost’s hat trick led Niles to a comfortable victory over the Eagles. Kherington Stanford also had two goals for the Red Dragons and Cali Rodgers and Gianna McKinley each added a goal of their own. Stanford and Ava Ferri each also had two assists, while Taylor Bickerstaff had one. Grace Guarnieri and Faith Bionci combined for five saves in net. No Hubbard stats were submitted.

Cardinal Mooney 3, Canton Central Catholic 1 — Mia Williams led the Cardinals with a brace in their 3-1 victory over Canton Central Catholic. Leah Hudak added a goal, while Williams, Katie Pregibon and Angelina Balale each finished with an assist. Sophia Dibo had four saves in goal for Mooney.

Cardinal Mooney 3, Boardman 1 — Dimitri Zoumis’ brace paced the Cardinals in their victory over the Spartans. Donovan Whetstone scored Mooney’s other goal, while Angel Alvarez had two assists and Jacob Gugliotta had one. No Boardman stats were submitted.

Poland 1, West Branch 0 — Michael Hostal’s 47th minute goal proved to be the difference in the Bulldogs’ tight win over the Warriors. Salvatore Carramusa provided the assist on the goal for Poland.

Canfield 3, Shaker Heights 1 — The Cardinals improved to 5-1 with a victory over Shaker Heights. Drew Snyder, Ryan Dangol and Brady Casey each scored goals for Canfield, while Casey and Alex Dace tallied assists. Rocco Catheline finished with three saves in net.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Lakeview 3, Niles 0 — The Bulldogs cruised to a straight sets victory over the Red Dragons (25-15, 25-19, 25-5). Annaliese DeJulio and Ali Parise each had eight kills for the Bulldogs, while Ellie Denman had two blocks, Cece DeToro had 23 assists and Cady Esker had 10 digs. No Niles statistics were submitted.

Crestview 3, Champion 0 — The Rebels continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-0 victory over the Golden Flashes. Lainy Auer led Crestview with 21 kills and eight digs, while Sophia Stewart had 36 assists. Sophia Dattilio and Sophia Noling each also had six assists, while Bella Ciapala had five assists. Kerrigan Miller finished with 16 digs. No Champion stats were submitted.

For Badger, Alison Price had 22 digs and 14 kills, while Kyleigh Hall and Lilly Schmidt combined for 35 assists. Hall also had 14 digs and seven kills and Sarah Miller had nine kills. Mineral Ridge 3, Springfield 0 — The Rams pulled out a straight sets victory over the Tigers. For Springfield, Baelyn Brungard had 20 kills, while Makenna Wymer had 24 assists and 13 digs. Erika Grinstead finished with nine digs, Olivia Flynn had three kills and four digs and Emily Conner had 10 digs. No Mineral Ridge stats were submitted.

South Range 3, Struthers 0 — The Raiders defeated the Wildcats in straight sets (25-12, 25-14, 25-15). Lily Weaver had 16 kills for the Raiders, while Prker Zwingler had 22 assists and six digs. Addison Freely added eight kills and seven digs and Haylie John finished with 12 digs. Gianna Martin had five kills and five blocks for Struthers, while Vivian Marker had three kills and six blocks. Southeast 3, Brookfield 1 — Southeast held on for a 3-1 victory over the Warriors (25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 26-24). Marae Craig had 11 kills and seven digs to lead the Warriors, while Cassie Samios had six digs, five assists and four aces.
