Penguins women fall
CHICAGO -- Kimeria Burks had a game-high 20 points to lead UIC past the YSU women Thursday at the UIC Pavilion, 59-53.
Tiana Jackson added 18 points, while Tylah Lampley put in 12 for the Flames (3-18, 2-8 Horizon League).
UIC led 18-7 after one quarter and YSU came back to cut it to a 25-23 Flames lead at halftime.
UIC outscored YSU 25-18 in the fourth quarter. Quinece Hatcher and Chelsea Olson each had 13 points to pace YSU (11-10, 4-6), while Taylor Petit added 10.
