Massillon High School's current football team has several players whose eligibility has been questioned and investigated. Of those players, the OHSAA has ruled two brothers ineligible for the rest of the season. What about the previous games? Other schools have had to forfeit games for using ineligible players. Why doesn't Massillon have to do the same?

So life goes on without our granddaughter's lively presence in our home. So very sad. She and her mother remain at Solace Center for once-a-week, hour-long supervised visits. Four years now. Is the only way out another costly attorney who may not comprehend the father's psychological abuse and coercive control and his total manipulation of a Family Court magistrate and guardian ad litem (GAL)? Will this mother forever be erased from her daughter's life?

Remember how they got here. Vivek Ramaswamy worked with Elon Musk and DOGE until he saw the opening to run for governor to help Trump. Jon Husted and Governor DeWine went to Mar a Lago to meet Trump, and he was elected senator by a billionaire friend. Do your research.

TV ads degrade Vivek for stopping production on a product that didn't work. Say he made money doing so? They ridiculed him. What about the other company products currently on the shelf? There are several reports that they don't work either, but they continue to be sold. Billions being made. I'm not a pharmacist. I hope the products on the shelf are helping some. I won't ridicule anyone for doing the right thing. Don't we want a stand-up man in office? I'm voting for Vivek.

Trump casually says Iran might take out Los Angeles or San Diego, where the elite Navy SEALs are based, because he is no longer thinking straight. That's how he justifies rising gas prices. But Republicans like Dave Joyce, Jim Jordan and the rest will blindly follow him to the end. His Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment to remove a man no longer fit to lead the nation.

Voting decisions are not difficult if you ask yourself some questions. Are you happy that Iran has no nuclear weapons, their economy destroyed and oil tankers are moving through the strait? Are you happy drug prices are significantly reduced by Trump's Most Favored Nation Drug Program? Happy to see the Constitution and our laws being enforced with a closed border, deporting criminal illegals and punishing anti-America agitators? Put an end to the Democrat Socialists. Vote Red this November.

I think I just saw the most foolish political ad ever. An ad by Amy Acton has a woman saying that Vivek Ramaswamy will take away her Social Security. Since when does a governor have the authority to do anything to Social Security? He doesn't, but because of their hatred for Donald Trump, some people will believe this. Political insiders have a name for these people; it's "useful idiots."

UPMC is in closing negotiations to acquire hospitals in Ohio. WVU Medical Center has announced plans to purchase hospitals in western Pennsylvania. And what is happening in Warren? We're building unnecessary bridges to nowhere. Trumbull County is a medical desert, yet the so-called leaders seem totally unconcerned. Why hasn't the state stepped in to help? Why hasn't Ohio State shown an interest? We need help, and there is none on the horizon.

Someone needs to tell Jon Husted that his dad lost his job at the factory due to Republican policies. I watched as the leaders in my company ordered skilled trades employees to skid, strap, wrap and ship the company's equipment to countries that paid extremely lower wages, had virtually no environmental requirements and workers had no negotiating power. And it was all for corporate greed. Or, maybe Mr. Husted understands this and his ads are intentionally trying to deceive voters.

I would like to comment on Sherrod Brown ads. First, gender-change surgeries in Ohio are illegal because of the Republican House and Senate in Ohio. Brown is on record saying he would never vote to stop them. The 490,000 people who could lose health care are those on Medicaid who shouldn't be there, like illegal immigrants. The most disturbing is one where the woman says she can't pay for gas to go to church. When did Democrats ever care about church? They stop services during COVID, but let strip clubs open.

Each day in the life of our crooked administration, I wonder if a book could even be written that would actually show just what a TOTAL mess Trump and company have made of our government and our nation, how absurd all of it is, and then I realize that MANY books WILL be written, MANY are probably in the works as we speak. And MANY from Trump's inner circle, now denying all to save themselves. VOTE RESPONSIBLY.

There were so many data centers. It didn't seem logical that Husted built them all. Before Husted came into office there were 65 built and plans had been OK'd for over 100 more. Once more Brown telling the truth but not the whole truth. Same as lying. Brown cannot be trusted. Get out and vote.

In the '60s and '70s this area was thriving with the steel and auto industries in the area. Do I remember hearing trains, cranes and seeing smoke pipes firing away? Yes, I do. Here I am 50 years later still walking, talking and breathing. What I see now: Online banking, teaching, tax preparation, shopping, travel planning. A lot of job loss. You might have to give the data centers a chance, or you will see schools, cities and townships merging.

Are you better off today than you were two years ago? The answer is no.

I'm registered as a Democrat but not beholden to either party. Some talk about how Republicans have caused spikes in cost of living. This same mess we're in has been happening for a long time with both parties. Brown and Ryan were booted because nothing was ever done for the people, just talk. President Trump does not know how to talk to the people and is not following the Constitution. I believe Husted is trying to keep more money in our pockets. As for Ohio Edison, I was told 40 years ago that insurance companies and utilities will never go broke. I should've listened and bought stock.
