The custom of handing criminal investigations and punishments "over to the Amish" has to stop. The Trumbull County sheriff does not have the authority to let Andrew A. Miller, 41, of Park Avenue in Bloomfield Township go because of his association with a religious affiliation, nor does the Amish community have legal standing to prosecute or punish crimes. Rape is at the top of that list. How many young girls will be raped before this heinous practice ends?

Schools, please get a countywide calendar with the start date after Labor Day! It would be easier if all districts were the same. Some schools do not have air conditioning so heat is a problem in August. Today many students suffer from stress and anxiety. A few extra weeks of vacation can ease mental exhaustion. Once school starts, kids are pulled in several directions and miss precious family time and the security and guidance that only family can provide. I urge you to take a community vote. It works for Howland!

STOP DEFICIT SPENDING!!! It took 240 years for our national deficit to reach $20 trillion in 2016. In the last 10 years the debt has doubled to $40 trillion. Why do politicians keep spending? At this rate, we will destroy ourselves before Iran develops a bomb.

Can a tech-whiz write an app that would mute my TV volume during campaign ads? This is ridiculous. Who approved unlimited spending in political campaigns? The answer goes back to a 2010 court case when five Republican Supreme Court justices voted yes for unlimited and hidden campaign funding while four Democrat justices voted no. The majority of the extreme amount of campaign money is coming from billionaires, corporations and special interests. We need to correct this 2010 mistake immediately.

How many millions went into the building of the new "bridge to nowhere?" Who will pay for the supposed transformation known as "the peninsula?" How are the "apartments" at the former YMCA progressing? What other "pie-in-the-sky" ideas are floating around in the heads of Warren's "leaders?" Meanwhile, back in reality, Trumbull County is lacking medical facilities. These "leaders" should re-examine their priorities. Everyone campaigning for a public office in Warren should be required to answer those questions.

If there is a knock at the door, be sure to fact check Mike Loychik! His small business is considered tiny with a payroll of one. As state rep, he was inaccurate, not accountable and inaccessible. He refused to talk to media for fear of being exposed. Trumbull County residents cannot afford to risk poor leadership, being scammed with him as auditor. Knock on all the doors you want. Many people know his character. Maybe after this failed attempt, he'll fade from the political ballot.

President Trump has done some good things with pharmaceutical costs. Regrettably, they were all done with executive orders and they rely on pharmaceutical CEOs doing things just on handshake agreements. And we all know how much they can be trusted. But there is hope. Now that a framework was developed, all that needs done is to get Democrat majorities in both houses in November and have Mr. Trump's great ideas written and passed into actual laws.

Electric bills at record highs. Tariffs genuinely added taxes on American consumers. A new foreign war $40 billion to $140 billion and climbing. Masked ICE agents with no IDs murdering American citizens. The president's 2025 financial disclosure for side hustles, $2 billion profit. The makeover in Washington D.C. to pre-create DJT's self-approved monuments for his self-appointed importance in American history, $1 billion and rising. This can be corrected quickly this fall by electing people who will push back on this nonsense.

To the person who thought it was cool to urinate in a parking lot of a baseball game with many seeing you do it: You are about as disrespectful as disrespectful can be. Then you and your buddy threw your beer cans in the weeds. Sickening.
