After saying he's leaving Warren for a job in New York in January how is Todd Johnson still on Warren City Council? Is it the money that he makes or the healthcare that he voted to give council three years ago? Why does he think it's OK to represent Warren people when he's leaving town? Why are his residents happy that he's still sitting there when he's got one foot out the door? Bye, Todd! Time to get a council member who wants to be in Warren in that seat.

The national news media refers to the battle to control the Democratic Party as a fight between moderates and progressives. This is misleading. It is a fight between liberal Democrats and Socialists. There is only one moderate Democrat and his name is John Fetterman.

The paving project on the I-80 -SR11 split has been a total disaster, specially the detours. This has to be the worst ODOT has done with labeling detours and providing drivers with complete turn-by-turn directions. For example just south of I-80 on SR 46 there is a message board saying 80 west traffic to Mahoning Ave, at Mahoning there is no signage where to go. Same with 80 west ramp, sign says to go to Salt Springs. That's it, not one more sign along the route.Local roads are getting destroyed with semi and dump truck traffic. Hope ODOT picks up the tab for those repairs.

The same people that complain about paying $4 a gallon for gasoline will pay $5 for a bag of chips. You can make potato chips in your kitchen. Try refining oil in your kitchen. Did you really think you would be paying $2.50 a gallon for gas the rest of your life?

There must be millions of illegal aliens who have committed serious crimes, but how come none have ever been convicted in a court of law. Why are those who enter the United States without a valid immigration status not be treated with the same legal representation that long-time citizens have. We are all immigrants somewhere in our past.

Sherrod Brown runs commercials comparing a factory worker's pay to the pay of a CEO. He evidently does not understand the CEO has far more responsibilities.A CEO is responsible for billions of dollars in assets, hundreds of thousands of employees and hundreds of millions of dollars in payroll. A CEO is responsible for the future of that business.

Warren/Trumbull County is in a health crisis! With only one understaffed hospital to provide medical care, this area is a medical desert. Ambulances are lined up; the emergency room is chaotic; the staff tries but is overworked with unrealistic expectations. Where is the State Department of Health? Where are the state medical administrators? Where are the candidates running for office? Is anyone actually working on this crisis? Is there anyone who can address this dilemma? We need help!

Of the three COVID relief checks Americans received, two were signed by Donald Trump. A pro Jon Husted PAC ad tries to fool voters into thinking they were gifts from progressives. I'm pretty sure Mr. Trump would not be happy to hear that this pro-Husted PAC is criticizing the COVID relief checks that the 45th President signed, sealed and delivered.

I have two simple questions for Governor Mike DeWine and his former lieutenant governor, Jon Husted. Why did you two keep data centers so Hush, Hush? And, is this Hush, Hush related to why you had to give court depositions under oath in the First Energy $60 million scam against Ohioans in which the former Ohio Republican House speaker is currently completing a 20-year prison sentence? FYI voters. This is the same Jon Husted currently running for Senate.

Regarding childhood diseases, to all parents of young children: please do not fail to get their vaccines. Please consult your pediatricians. Please believe facts over falsehoods and allow your children safe health growing up. These medical conditions were eradicated by vaccines. It could prove disastrous to have them reemerge.

Thirty appeals later, Danny Lee Hill is still guilty of the most heinous crime ever committed in Warren. Millions of dollars later, DLH is as guilty today as he was in 1985. Forty-one years later, Hill is still guilty. After so many appeals, tax-payer money, years in prison, it's the same story: Hill is guilty of the unconscionable torture, rape and murder of a 12-year-old child. Soon-to-be-former Governor DeWine should man-up and rescind his order to delay Hill's execution.
