Parents in the Brentwood Boulevard area of Niles have no concern with their young kids riding their bikes in the middle of the road. People drive out of control in this area speeding, and law enforcement does nothing. These kids swerve in and out of driveways and do not look for cars. It is going to happen, then parents will be screaming at the drivers. They need to be teaching their kids the proper way to ride.

Unfortunately, former Ohio Health Director Dr. Amy Acton must set up a rumor control page on her website, just like FEMA did during Hurricane Helene to dispel all the Trump lies about the Biden and FEMA response. This time it is to debunk Vivek Ramaswamy's televised ads butchering her reputation. One example, he claimed "that she was drinking while taking drugs." The reality is she takes prescription drugs and had a drink with her husband. Ramaswamy's no saint. Research him yourself.

Warren City Council on 7/8 approved Doug Franklin's request for $50,000 for Sesca's park in the 5th ward. Why? How about the other parks in the city? Could it be that it is the beginning of campaign season for the mayor? With Warren's declining population, high poverty rate and increased crime rate, what has the mayor accomplished except for getting himself a raise of $105,000 per year. Why? Wake up, Warren.

The powers that be from St Joe's should take a good, long look at their emergency room and how it is run. For being a Catholic hospital, there was not one ounce of kindness or compassion from the staff that I saw on two occasions in June. In fact, the staff was extremely rude. The staff at St Elizabeth Main ER was kind, compassionate and helpful. The staff at St Joe's was not even interested in speaking with family members to clarify medications and historical information for the reason of the visit.

Instead of writing letters condemning President Trump, why don't readers focus on LOCAL problems? First and foremost, you should be concerned with inadequate hospital resources, resulting in a lack of new doctors coming into the area and insufficient medical attention. Be concerned about a City Council that is overpaid and doing little to earn those massive raises. Show concern about an administration that is more interested in photo ops than actually helping to improve the city. Where are your priorities?

For years Trumbull County residents' red, blue and purple came together to vote for a leader, Adrian Biviano, who effectively maintained the auditor's office on behalf of ALL Trumbull County citizens. Trumbull County has an opportunity to be served by credentialed effective leader, Ed Stredney for Trumbull County Auditor. Consider the rhetoric (fact check) of the already proven snake oil salesman Mike Loychik's capabilities. Regardless of party affiliation, Ed Stredney is the most qualified for the job.

For 40-50 years ALL of our presidents did not attack Iran. They had listened to their military experts, scholars, Intel agents and their common sense. There were simply too many uncertainties at play. But now we have Bebe Netanyahu who found two inept officials of the USA: DJT and Pete Hegseth. These two individuals proved to be easy targets for Israel to influence. Off to war, the USA goes without an exit plan. One of history's worst decisions.

We finally discovered who vandalized the reflecting pool. The video shows some idiots driving large SUVs down the middle of the pool. Hopefully they will be brought to justice.

It's really shameful to see Newton Falls Councilman Brian Kropp and his wife Samantha continue to berate citizens on social media in Newton Falls. When a resident has an opinion that doesn't fall in line with councilman Kropp's thinking, you can expect a sarcastic response from him and his wife. Kind of a 2-for-1 bargain. They both come out guns a'blazing and virtually have an opinion on every topic posted and they are always right.

Someone wrote how you get property tax relief = vote for new commissioners. Evidently that writer's ungrateful to receive the maximum benefit that Ohio law offers him. ORC 323.152 (B) (3) states that commissioners may authorize an exemption of up to 2.5% of taxes levied. Those laws are not set by commissioners. If you want more tax relief to kill police, fire and road departments along with public education, you will need to vote for new legislators in Columbus. By all accounts, they are doing a pretty good job of killing us already!
