DEAR EDITOR:

I am writing to express my strong support for Trumbull County Commissioner Denny Malloy as he seeks reelection.

I have known Denny for more than 30 years and throughout that time he has consistently proven himself to be a caring, dedicated and principled individual. His commitment to the people of our county is genuine, and it shows in both his leadership and his results.

During his time in office, Commissioner Malloy has restored respect and strong leadership to the commissioners’ office. Serving as chairman in his first two years, he set a tone of professionalism and cooperation that continues to benefit our community today.

He has worked effectively with residents, townships and county governments in building partnerships that get things done. One example is his effort to ensure that every community received its top priority through American Rescue Plan funding–a fair and thoughtful approach that reflects his understanding of local needs.

Under his leadership, Trumbull County has reached an important milestone with more people moving into the county than leaving for the first time in its history. That kind of progress does not happen by accident. It is the result of focused leadership and a clear vision.

Economic development has been a top priority for Commissioner Malloy and he has pursued it with a smart growth strategy that supports long-term stability while creating jobs and opportunity for our residents.

Commissioner Malloy has earned the trust and respect of this community. I encourage voters to support his reelection so he can continue the positive momentum he has helped create.
