President Trump’s criticism of the pope

DEAR EDITOR:

President Trump criticized Pope Leo’s take on the Iranian war.

An image accompanied the President’s statements depicting Trump in red and white robes resembling Jesus, healing a man, surrounded by four white onlookers, jets, first-responders, the Statue of Liberty, fireworks and America’s flag.

This image has generated many allegedly “real” posts, pro and con.

Behold the posts……

1. “It’s supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better…” DJT

2. “Bright colors, sick man, nice people, shiny airplanes, and my Dad…” Eric Trump

3. “Blasphemy!” The Grand Inquisitor

4. “A beautifully framed reproduction of this work of art can be yours: Patriots… $399.99; Democrats… $599.99; non-believers…$699.99;……I love dynamic pricing.” Scott Bessent, secretary of the Treasury

5. “No immigrants depicted…good and gone!” Stephen Miller

6. “We ask these things …in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ.” Pete Hegseth

7. “I don’t really care, do you?” Melania Trump

8. “Nice kick-off to my reign!!!” The Anti-Christ

9. “Outrage! A nothing-burger controversy.” Congressional Republicans

10. “Outrage…don’t force us to write a strongly worded letter one of these days!” Congressional Democrats

11. “I made POTUS look good, didn’t I?” AI

12. “A little humility would serve him well. God shall not be mocked.” Riley Gaines, conservative activist

13. “He needs to take this down immediately and ask for forgiveness from the American people and then from God.” Megan Basham, conservative reporter

14.”Sacrilegious.” Justin Amash, former GOP representative

15. “Why do I have to repent or ask forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes… I go to communion …that’s asking forgiveness……” DJT

16. “Derangement Syndrome! He’s a jokester……like when he posted himself as pope and king.” JD Vance

17. “That’s my boy! I expected nothing less. He always lives down to my expectations.” Lucifer

18. “Everyone who exalts himself will be brought low.” Yeshua ben Yosef, Luke 18:14

One wonders what will come next … uncontested 2026 mid-terms, satisfied billionaires, a politician with his hands in his own pockets, AI’s domination of humanity, or the Anti-Christ……?

“Don’t kneel to me … you must kneel to God only … thank Him for the liberty you will hereafter enjoy. I am but God’s humble instrument,” was Abraham Lincoln’s wise counsel to a crowd seeking to kneel to him when he visited defeated Richmond in 1865.

Such sentiments define and reveal a great president, a true national “doctor” of America’s body and soul.
