DEAR EDITOR:

Maybe if Trump had respected the American people by discussing necessary information pertaining to this war beforehand.

Maybe if Trump had discussed this war with congress and some smart people.

Maybe if Trump didn’t sneak around everybody.

Maybe if Trump hadn’t lied about his “attack” intentions.

Maybe if Trump threatened less and listened more.

Maybe if Trump had something more intelligent than just an ‘idea or thought’ of war.

Maybe if Trump didn’t use language like “just for fun” when speaking of this war..

Maybe if Trump and Hegseth really thought about what could happen.

Maybe if Trump had chosen someone with a notable military background to lead the Department of “Defense” … and not a broadcaster.

Maybe if Hegseth hadn’t gotten rid of the knowledgeable ‘top brass’ military.

Maybe if Hegseth would worry more about this war than his image in pictures in the press.

Maybe if Trump hadn’t previously disparaged and mocked deceased heroes coming home from wars.

Maybe if the proper respect was shown to our returning heroes instead of wearing a dumb hat.

Maybe if Trump knew more than “I will know in my bones when to stop this war.”

Maybe Trump shouldn’t flip flop so much on his opinions.

Maybe the billions to be spent on this war would have better benefited Americans.

Maybe if Trump and Hegseth really actually knew what they were doing..

Maybe then this war would be more acceptable and understood to the general public, but.

War is hell and always will be. Innocent people of ALL nations involved will lose their lives and families will suffer. Maybe we didn’t need to start this war.
