I have two questions for State Rep. Dave Thomas. Republicans have had majority control in Columbus, Ohio, for 48 of the last 50 years, and super-majority control during the recent massive property tax increase. 1) Why are you and your party only now trying to solve a problem that has been yours for 48 years? And 2) Will your property-tax-bill approach reduce (police, fire, EMS) union memberships? Thus, reducing further the number of middle-class citizens in our state.

It is clear who is a hero and who is not. Sen. Mark Kelly earned dozens of combat service medals defending our Constitution as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot. NASA recruited Kelly to fly the most complicated space shuttle missions. Kelly is not a defendant in any court cases, but Trump wants him executed in public. Trump grew up abusing his father's Mafia crime boss privileges, amassing 4,000-plus lawsuits (mostly as a defendant) to date. He cheats on each wife and dismisses constitutional laws.

How can a $.97 raise from $2.02 to $2.99 overnight be justified with the current price of a barrel of crude oil? No way other than blatant greed by our area gasoline distributor. I'm pretty sure most of us know the name. A Merry Christmas hosing from them. I am contacting the Ohio Attorney General's office to demand an investigation into what illegal price gouging. This distributor has been doing this for months as gas prices fall then balloon overnight, but never to this extent.

270,000 federal jobs eliminated, almost 300,000 immigrants deported or still in horrible cells -- this administration has raised the U.S. debt over $2 trillion. Ballrooms, bathrooms, marble arm rests, arcs, gold-plated junk everywhere, new personal jets, vans and BMV cars for ICE, ($50,000 sign-up "bonus" ICE job offers), redoing the KENNEDY CENTER, cutting funding and health insurance for the needy, and millions spent on golf trips via jet travel. Tariffs / taxes. And we are saving money?

Since both the Tribune Chronicle and The Vindicator are owned by the same company, and have the same newsroom and staff, why don't you simply merge these publications into one great newspaper serving the entire Youngstown-Warren area? The savings from not composing two newspapers should more than make up for the revenue lost by eliminating any dual-subscription customers you might have. Call it "The Vindicator, a Tribune Chronicle publication" or vice versa. If you are in doubt, just make this one of your poll questions.
