Taxpayers should be treated equally! Once again, Warren has shown favoritism in its treatment of taxpayers by not plowing/salting non-thru streets. ALL streets should be plowed, not just the ones where council people live or the mayor lives or those with “connections” live. We also have to get to work and school. Those of us whose streets were not cleared pay the same taxes as others; perhaps we should deduct some money for lack of service.

Dennis Watkins for Governor! In a recent Tribune article, Watkins (Trumbull County Prosecuting Attorney) was quoted as saying, “Yes, Virginia, there is a death penalty in the United States.” Bravo! Unfortunately, Ohio allows “neverending appeals” for many death row inmates, and Gov. DeWine has put a moratorium on the usage of the death penalty. Danny Lee Hill has been allowed appeals for 40 years! Shameful! Other states execute the worst of the worst. Ohio should follow their lead.

Here we go again. Trump is dancing around Ukraine. He has nothing to offer by sending two real estate tycoons to negotiate. All they are doing is squeezing Ukraine’s negotiating team. Trump wants this over at any cost so he can claim “I’m the man of peace, where’s my medal.” He doesn’t know the difference between peace vs piece. If there is no “piece” of something for him, he won’t help. Heaven help Eastern Europe.

For decades, Catholics have endured perverted priests being shuffled away out of sight. Now, the perversion has infiltrated the Ursuline High School football team, with coaches, administration and the Diocese denying any wrongdoing. From hiring coaches fired from other schools, to grossly inadequate supervision by the coaches, they try to avoid civil punishment. The “Church” must repent and change. One way to force them is to quit contributing to the collection plate. If not, the “Church” will continue its Pray, pay and OBEY guilt mantra.
