So after decades of people driving through the school zone in Newton Falls, it all of a sudden has become a safety concern. Where was this concern from people five or 10 years ago. A child can get kill just as easy by a car doing the speed limit. And what happens once the kids leave the school zone. Why not park a police car right by the school entrance. Even unmanned it will slow people down, but the city wouldn't get their money. But it's not about the money right. Yeah right.

A recent writer from Girard wrote that the Trump administration is not following the Constitution. I continue here Democrats say this but have not heard any of them give an example of where the Constitution isn't being followed. This is just the Democratic Party's usual tactic, say something but don't give any evidence that it's true. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it wrong. The Democrats need to start telling the American people what their policies are instead of just being against President Trump.

Now that the annual nightmare of door-to-door trick-or-treating is over, perhaps it is time to re-examine the need for it. Prices for "treat-sized" candy or snacks are out of sight, so many residents no longer get involved with this "tradition." Children have Halloween parties at school, at churches, at town functions, at the mall, and at Eastwood Field. If children would stay in their own neighborhoods, it would be one thing ... but they don't! Enough is enough.

Central District Court Judge Thomas Campbell has decided to run for judge of Trumbull County Probate Court. Hopefully, voters will remember that he was the judge who sentenced a distracted driver to just two weeks in jail, community service and a one-year suspension of his license. This was the man's "punishment" after he killed an innocent driver (a father of three young children) who was just waiting for a light to change. Please think before you vote.

OMG! 47 thinks the Republicans lost these last elections because his name wasn't on the ballot and we're in a government shutdown. It's always about him! The truth is people are tired of the chaos & retribution and of him and his policies. The way he's acting most people would be doing a family intervention by now. People are lining up at food banks and he's having a big Halloween bash at Mar-A-Lago with the Rich to the theme of "Great Gatsby." Guess that saying today is true ... "You can't fix stupid."

Battery plant editorial today was interesting yet lacking as well. What was not mentioned is that in Michigan several new battery plants have been canceled. The plant mentioned is owned by Ford using Technology licensed, Like GM and LG do. Also the plant will build NEW LFP higher efficiency batteries that are now IMPORTED from China! No connection to the layoffs, lack of sales is!
