Remember, legally any festival on Warren's Courthouse Square cannot charge admission. So if you are given the impression you have to pay to enter the square during a festival, you are being lied to!

Donald Trump's administration just tried to erase the part of the U.S. Constitution that brought Europe out of the Dark Ages. This is literally true because our rights from habeas corpus (due process) comes from the Magna Carta which was written near the end of the Medieval time period! Beware King Trump! Do research and know your rights.

Trump brags about hundreds of billions in tariffs already coming into the U.S. Treasury, but the official treasury data does not back up the liar-in- chief's claims. When journalists ask Japanese or European Union officials to verify Trump's amazing trillion dollar deals with them, they cannot corroborate Trump's fiction. Meanwhile the American people can see one thing moving out of the U.S.: jobs! Ford and Toyota are moving to Canada. Global food supplies are passing on the USA. Stick a fork in them; MAGA is done!

Thanks to the dictator Trump our democracy is disappearing FAST. Controlling news, judges, costly ego military parade, a massive banner of himself hung beside Lincoln unnecessary and demeaning deployment of military troops to our cities. He continues to lie and misinform He assured the cards in the big and ugly plan were stacked in his and the wealthy donors' favor. While in office It cost the taxpayers millions for his personal pleasure. He uses the title of president to gain wealth. His estimated increase is $3.4 BILLION.

If this administration can do as much damage in so many areas of the lives of Americans, not to mention that of the entire world, as they have done in a short eight months, it is frightening to think of what is in store. Their plan all along has been to enhance the wealth of 'some' and reduce it for the rest of us. The Constitution and rules of law will continue to be broken, as wealth 'trumps' us.

I read the "Sound Off" in today's tribune (Aug. 9) regarding the police blotters. I live in Champion and we are never in there. I totally agree with the writer. I would like to know what's going on in my community. Crime is everywhere. I would like to see where it is in Champion and other communities.

The question in a recent Tribune daily poll was "Is Warren unfairly targeting Convenient Food Mart?" What an idiotic question! That Elm Road location has been a trouble spot for years and should have been closed sooner. The morning of August 3 was the final straw when there was a shooting that ended in a fatality. "Unfairly targeting?" What a joke.

Foxconn sells plant to a partner company, Foxconn intends to build products for that partner. A company just announced hundreds of BILLIONS of U.S. plant investment funding. APPLE is planning to build more AI servers in the US. Foxconn and Apple probably can get that set up in months to build them here.. My WAG anyhow.

Every time I drive by the nearly closed old Packard plant on North River Road, I wonder why the stop light is still functioning at the Plant 10 entrance. The one on Larchmont by the credit union is also pretty useless too. Maybe the lights don't need to be removed, but they could be permanently blinking yellow in the street side.

Why are you punishing the store and employees for some bad actors in the parking lot? Now they have a whole parking lot to hang out in and local people in that area have no milk or bread. Just great that that's all you could come up with city leaders. The store didn't hurt those who needed that food. You did.

If alcohol was being sold to the men in the parking lot, take the alcohol license away. Don't throw the baby out with bath water, people still need to be able to buy a gallon of milk or bread. The news said the neighborhood is poor, which means people may not have cars to get to bigger retail establishments. They need their store. Also, have store close by 10 or 11 p.m. at latest.

How long can the Democratic Party go? What is wrong with your way of thinking? Sydney Sweeney, a beautiful, young model trying to sell jeans, and you call her a Nazi! When Brooke Shields modeled Jordache jeans no one called her a Nazi; they went and bought the jeans. Everybody did. How soon they forget. Dementia?
