Support for Poppy Campaign appreciated
DEAR EDITOR:
Howland American Legion Post 700 and Auxiliary Unit 700 would like to thank those who generously contributed to our Poppy Campaign, which took place outside of the Cortland Walmart on May 24 and June 28.
Members of the community donated to and spoke encouraging words to the veterans and auxiliary members participating in the Poppy Campaign. The donations will be used for hospitalized veterans and for the rehabilitation and welfare of veterans of the United States Armed Forces, especially those in Howland and our immediate area
