Sound off!
We’re going to celebrate more Section 8 housing in Warren? You’ve got to be kidding! Call it the Emerson slum! TNP, quit degrading NW Warren! Will we see Garfield, Devon, McKinley slum housing projects too on the EAST side? Protest this project at Emerson school on July 2.

I am compelled to write this because I know Fox News won’t cover the real news: Japan’s trade relations negotiating team just broke ties with the Trump Administration over Trump’s constantly changing positions and lack of character. This “Trump Effect” is a scary global trend. Trump is not merely a loose cannon, his narcissism is so deeply rooted that he lies compulsively and is therefore a deeply flawed human being. God help us!

Trump separates immigrant children from their parents, cheats on his wives, makes friends with child sex traffickers, cheats contractors and on taxes, tripled his wealth since becoming president and asks, “Why do we have nuclear bombs if we aren’t allowed to use them?” Everyone must question Trump’s moral character before he starts WW3 by dropping a nuclear bomb on 14 million Iranians in Tehran. 3 nuclear states: China, Russia and Pakistan are on the record pledging to defend Iran.

Trump is a bad leader who believes only in the rule of Trump even as the free world is turning its back on the USA. A good leader is wise and strong; a servant for his people. 150 days in and our weak president has rammed 100s of executive orders down our throats, yet signed only 5 pieces of legislation. We elect politicians to write bills for the people, then debate and analyze legislation before cementing ideas into laws.

I realize that all the complaining in the world is not going to remove Trump, the sham entertainer, from office, but somehow the phrase, “whining works” actually does help me as I read daily his antics and stupid decisions, most of which are not helping Americans one bit, many hurting. So keep whining, get it off your chest, and get set for almost four years left in his ‘regime’, with more idiotic antics to come. And pray.

Kimberly-Clark plans to build in SW Warren. That is wonderful news. However, the reality is that grocery stores are closing; that area is a food desert; Warren has only one small hospital; some areas have been relegated to newspaper delivery through the sketchy US postal service, and the City Council is vastly overpaid. I am wondering if KC is having second thoughts…and what is the draw for other companies to locate here?

Wow, It appears the folks in Columbus ACTUALLY may have heard the people of Ohio about the “need” to fix unbroken pot laws the PEOPLE of OHIO voted to establish. at least for now anyhow, Columbus reps remember who put you there and don’t forget we are watching Property tax action as well. signed, a senior republican voter.

I, for one, am grateful for the AP posts in the Tribune. The AP is widely considered a highly reputable and reliable news organization, known for its commitment to factual reporting and journalistic standards. AP has dedicated fact-checking teams and policies in place to verify information and debunk misinformation. They also collaborate with platforms like Facebook and Twitter to provide factual context to misleading posts. AP consistently will quote its sources, and at times, those sources have been proven to have lied. Happens at home and abroad every day!

I find as I review the history of our beloved country and the world that history is repeating itself as that which was happening in the V.N. time frame. Wake up America!! There is a profound statement “United we stand; divided we fall.” That has Biblical & World leader proclamations. We are going through a wake-up call and the consequences will be devastating unless we find the means to quit “wanting to win an argument rather than finding solutions.” God be with us.

All of us who enjoy sailing or white-water rafting or canoeing know that we do it at our own risk. The Trumbull County Commissioners did a proper study about the removal of the dam and the effects. Other communities that remove their dams faced more flooding in the low areas and some low areas saw bridges wash away. It would cost less money to reinforce the bridge. Just because the Metroparks do not want to send money back does not mean we should be forced into an action. Politicians should keep being re-elected out of the equation. Delay the destruction until all the facts are known.
